Introduction of Electrodeless Lamp
    High frequency electrodeless discharge lamp, HFED for short, is an up-to-date high tech prod uct integrated with applied optics,power electronics, plasma study,magnetic material study and the like disciplines. As a new type light source representing future development trend,it is of high luminous efficacy, high color rendering property and long service life, destined to become the most promising energy-saving and environ mental-protection light source in the 21st century.

Structure and Operating Principle of Electrodeless Lamp
    The HFED comsists of bulb, power coupler and high-frequency generator. The power coupler is built inside the bulb, connecting the high-frequency generator through feeder line. The coupler induces and couples high-frequency electromagnetic energy created by the generator into the b-ulb, which makes the air inside the bulb cumulatively ionized into plasma. Excited atom of the plasma whlie returning to ground state will spontaneously radiate ultraviolet light that will invigorate the phosphor powder on inner wall of the bulb to give off visible light.

　　1．Super long service life:  No filament and electrode in the bulb, Service life of the bulb depends on natural attenua- tion of phosphor powder. It has the longest service life among all light sources. Designed ser- vice life≥60 thousand hours, 50 times that of incandesent lamp, and 10 times that of gold ha- log en lamp.
